Toovey Eaton & Pocock Hudson
One project, two companies, two totally different designs.
Toovey Eaton Macdonald and Pocock Hudson are both accounting firms located in the old Chews Lane building in central Wellington.
The two companies decided to have their separate fitouts managed, designed and constructed together, resulting in cost savings – trust those accountants!
Toovey Eaton Macdonald is a tax advisory and assurance practice with a client base of mainly local government. They wanted an open plan office with glass partitions and very few doors. This allowed them to make use of the excellent natural light within the office and gave it a more spacious feel.
Pocock Hudson gets a lot of walk-in clients so wanted a particularly attractive reception area. This was achieved with the use of shaped and fitted panelling in reception, a floating entrance door to the board room and matching reception furniture.
We were working to limited timeframes at both sites, and both companies wanted to be up and running in their new spaces on the Monday after handover. Which, thanks to the collaborative approach taken by The Building Intelligence Group, our contractors and consultants, they were.
