Our Strengths
There are two fundamental characteristics that everybody at The Building Intelligence Group has that will never appear on a job description.
Certainty. And passion.
Certainty is ‘the buck stops here’ commitment that we make with the client. Their job will happen. The designer can make the excuse that it’s the contractor. The contractor can blame the subs. The subs can blame suppliers. But we can’t blame anyone. Our job is not to protest or complain. It’s to sort things out. It’s to make things happen. It’s to find lateral ways around problems. That’s the only way we know.
Passion is part and parcel of certainty. We use the word cautiously. Many describe themselves as ‘passionate’. Many are not. Perhaps the best way is to think of the opposite of passion. The pragmatic will do the job because there is a job to be done. The pragmatic will seek expediency over endeavour. For the pragmatist, good enough is good enough. To be a good Project Manager you need to be more than just pragmatic. Our Project Managers ‘own’ their jobs. They lead them, they push them, and they drive them. That’s what gets them out of bed in the morning. That’s what we call passion.
